What Are Your Offseason Golf Plans?

LIV Expands, New Tech in Golf, and a Throwback Golf Club That Will Make You Want a New Putter

Greetings Life at the Turn fans! Welcome to the weekly roundup. From pro news to golf tech and retro gear finds, we’ve got your golf fix covered.

LIV Golf Takes a Page Out of the Traditional Golf Playbook

Beginning in 2026, all LIV Golf events will expand from 54 holes to 72 holes, moving to a full 4-round format. Although events will still begin under a shotgun start, this change recognizes old traditions in the world of professional golf.

Golf Course of the Week: Wolf Creek Golf Club, Mesquite, NV

Since opening in 2000, golfers from all over the world have traveled to Wolf Creek Golf Club in Mesquite, Nevada to experience a one of a kind golf adventure. From 2008-2015, Wolf Creek has been a feature course on EA Sports Tiger Woods and the new Rory McIlroy PGA Tour video game. In 2011, Wolf Creek won the prestigious Fan Choice Award naming Wolf Creek the favorite golf course to play by golf fans worldwide.

Golf Tech Spotlight: The Mowing Robot

Automation meets the rough at Rolling Meadows Golf Club in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, where a robot mower is keeping the grass pristine. The future of course maintenance is already here.

Retro Club of the Month: The PC Golf Webster 1

The PC Golf Webster 1 putter is one of my favorite Crazy Putters. Probably from the 1960s and very very rare. It brings a shuffleboard approach to putting, as you strike the ball while standing behind and off to the side instead of aligning next to the ball. Illegal or not? You be the judge!
